I am still chugging along with the writing and editing stuff instead of the reading stuff, so I’ve only got a few books for the recap for January. But that does give me some extra space to say how hugely excited I am about the cover for book 3 of The Arcanium Saga. I just got a look at the rough sketches and… omg… it is stunning! And it doesn’t even have colour yet. I can’t wait to see what the final version looks like! (Can you tell I’m excited about this one? I am SO excited about this one!) The title reveal will be coming soon, and then not long after that I’m hoping to be able to share the cover itself, so stay tuned!

This was a really charming story, and I loved Zoe and her baking obsession. I wish this one had been around when I was a student teacher in a school in which a lot of the kids had an incarcerated parent. Definitely looking forward to the next part of Zoe’s story with book 2!

Okay, so I know I am WAY late to the kotlc party, but holy cow, this is a fantastic series! Highly, highly recommended if you haven’t read it yet. There was a loooong waitlist at my local library for book 2 so I got impatient and bought the box set over the holidays, so I’m all set for books for a while. I’m on book 4 right now and still can’t decide if I’m on Team Keefe or Team Fitz. Also, (shameless plug, here) if you’ve already read this series and loved it, you will probably also love River of Crows. (Yes, I am totally going to be updating all my comps with this one at some point.)
