Well, it’s almost 7:30 on a Sunday night and, while I should have spent the weekend working on the next book, I have instead spent both days working furiously away on website updates. And I kind of feel like my eyeballs are about to fall out from staring at the screen so long, so I’m going to call it quits for the day and take the rest of the night off. (Literally ALL DAY BOTH DAYS working on this thing. Whew!)
I hand-coded the original version of the site so I had complete control over everything, but I’ve been wanting to shift it over to WordPress so that I can bring the blog in-house instead of having it out on Substack. There is a LOT of stuff that has to be altered/fixed/reworked when you make a massive platform change like that, so this “revamp”, as I’m calling it (it’s not really a new site, per se, since I am mostly recreating the same look on WordPress, aside from a few new and snazzy improvements), has taken considerably longer than anticipated. I ran into some major technical difficulties trying to get the cute little magical memory game that I created to work while embedded in a WordPress page, for example, and that took a while to fix. But, I finally managed to smooth it all out, and the site is definitely getting closer to being ready, and I’m really excited to have it all ready in time for the #MirrorOfWolves launch!
